Stefan Wirtz

Stefan Wirtz (born July 6, 1968 in Krefeld ) is a German politician ( AfD ).

Life

Wirtz works as a commercial employee . He is the group leader of the AfD in the city council of Braunschweig . He was a direct candidate for the AfD in constituency 1 (Braunschweig-Nord) in the state elections in Lower Saxony in 2017 . On October 15, 2017, Wirtz was able to move into the Lower Saxony state parliament as a member of the right-wing populist AfD by taking 6th place on the state list of the AfD Lower Saxony . In June 2018 he failed in the election as a person of trust in the committee for the election of lay judges due to dissenting votes by the council of the city of Braunschweig and missed the necessary 2/3 majority.

Wirtz lives with his family in Braunschweig .
