Stefanie Gropper

Stefanie Gropper (birth name: Gropper , meanwhile until 2007: Würth , born June 1, 1957 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) is a German literary scholar and Scandinavian .

Stefanie Gropper studied Nordic Philology, Modern German Literature and Older German Language and Literature at the University of Munich from 1976 to 1983 . In 1980/81 she completed a stay abroad at the University of Iceland . In 1983 she completed her studies with a Magister, and in 1987 she received her doctorate in Nordic Philology. In 1995 she completed her habilitation at the University of Munich in Nordic Philology and was a professor there in 1995/96. In the winter semester 1996/97 she was appointed to the University of Tübingen , where she has held the professorship for Scandinavian Studies ever since. From October 2006 to September 2013 she was Vice Rector of the University of Tübingen.
