Stefano Morrone (born October 26, 1978 in Cosenza ) is an Italian football player . The midfielder has been under contract with FC Parma since 2007 .

Stefano Morrone began his career in his hometown at AS Cosenza Calcio after two seasons he moved to FC Empoli in Serie A . After only one season he moved to league rivals Piacenza Calcio , after the club had meanwhile been relegated to Serie B , Morrone moved again, this time to AC Venice . In Venice he was promoted to the highest Italian league in his first season. In the winter break of the 2001/02 season he returned to his home club AS Cosenza, where he only stayed until the end of the season before moving to US Palermo . For the 2003/04 season, Morrone moved to Chievo Verona , at the end of the season he moved back to Palermo, which had meanwhile also been promoted to Serie A.

For the 2005/06 season he moved to his current club AS Livorno where he has since been one of the top performers and was able to achieve the most goals for Livorno in that season after Cristiano Lucarelli .

Morrone was also one of the top performers at Livorno in the 2006/07 season, which made him interesting for the other clubs. In the end, it was Parma FC who signed him. Morrone signed a four-year contract.

In the summer of 2013, Morrone was awarded to US Latina, who had been promoted to Serie B.

National team

Marrone completed a total of nine international matches for the Italian U-21 national team from 1999 to 2000 . In August 2006 Morrone was appointed to the Italian team for the first time for the international match against Croatia on August 18, 2006 , but not used.
