Stefanos Kotsolis ( Greek Στέφανος Κοτσόλης , born May 6, 1979 in Athens , Greece ) is a Greek football player .

Career

Stefanos Kotsolis, who plays in the position of goalkeeper , started his career at the youth academies of Panathinaikos Athens . Under Takis Ikonomopoulos he trained there until January 1998, when he received his first professional contract and was promoted to the men's team. At Panathinaikos, Kotsolis was only used sporadically in the following years. In April 2004, a form low from Antonios Nikopolidis and an injury from Konstantinos Chalkias helped him in the regular formation of Panathinaikos. At the end of this season, Kotsolis was able to win the Greek championship and the cup with his team . In the summer of 2005, Kotsolis moved to AE Larisa after 8 first division appearances .

National team

Stefanos Kotsolis went through all the youth teams of the Greek national soccer team and is part of the current squad of the men's national team.

Trivia

Kotsolis went down in Panathinaikos history as the last player to wear the number 13 shirt. This has not been awarded since 2003 in honor of GATE 13 , the club's largest fan group.
