Stefanos Nikolaidis
Stefanos Nikolaidis ( Greek Στέφανος Νικολαίδης , Ottoman İstefanos Efendi; * 1817 in Agies Paraskies , today municipality of Archanes-Asterousia , Crete ; † May 23, 1907 in Heraklion ) was a Cretan icon painter .
From about 1860 to 1865 he was the overseer of the Christian schools of ( Sanjaks ) Heraklion. In 1877 he was elected to the first Ottoman parliament (meclis-i mebusan) as a representative of the Greek Orthodox population in Crete.
