Steffen Lampert

Steffen Lampert (* 1979 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German law scholar and professor at the University of Osnabrück .

life and work

Lampert studied law at Saarbrücken University from 2000 and passed his first state examination there in 2004. After completing his legal clerkship at the Zweibrücken Higher Regional Court , Lampert passed his second state examination in 2009. In the same year he was awarded a doctorate from the University of Saarbrücken with a tax law work supervised by Rudolf Wendt . iur. PhD. He then worked as a research assistant for Wendt. In April 2011 Lampert was appointed junior professor for public law and international tax law at the University of Osnabrück . In September 2015, he completed his habilitation at the University of Osnabrück and received the Venia legendi for the subjects of public law, business and tax law and European law. After a visiting professorship at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne , Lampert was appointed to the Chair of Public Law, Finance and Tax Law at the University of Osnabrück, which he has held since August 2017. Since October 2018 he has also headed the Institute for Finance and Tax Law there.

Lampert's research focuses primarily on tax law, especially international and comparative tax law.
