Steffen Stranz (born May 16, 1960 in Kassel ) is a former German judoka and today's judo trainer.
Among other things, he took 5th place at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul . He won two bronze medals each at world and European championships. In addition, he was German champion seven times in a row (1982-1987). Stranz started for VfL Wolfsburg and was a member of the German national team from 1979 to 1988 during his active fighting career.
He has the 6th dan (red-white) in judo.
Today Steffen Stranz works as a dentist in Kassel. He continues to work as a judo trainer at SC Kassel.
