Steinar Ofsdal

Steinar Ofsdal (born October 4, 1948 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian flautist and composer . He is Professor of Folklore Music at the Norwegian Academy of Music .
Ofsdal has been performing alone, with a guitarist, with bands or orchestras since 1967. Since 1988 he has played with the Norwegian folklore group Bukkene Bruse . Ofsdal also composed for theater, film and television.
He received the Spellemannprisen in 1983 for his album Hat Trick and in 1989 together with the folk musician Per Midtstigen and their album Sjøfløyta .
