Steinar Sørlle (* 1942 in Stavern , Norway ) is a Norwegian author for children and young people.

Life

Sørlle is a trained photographer and published his first volume of prose and poetry in 1972, Sporen ser deg ( Eng . The traces see you ).

Two of his books have been published in German: The night when no one slept (1986), a story of three children who are cut off from the mainland while ice fishing in the Oslofjord , is used as reading material in German lessons at middle school. In 1989 it received several awards, for example it was selected as Book of the Month by the German Academy for Children's Literature and was on the honorary lists of the Austrian Children's Book Prize and the German Children's Literature Prize .

The title Ronnys Flucht was on the recommendation list of the Commission for Children's and Young People's Literature of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science, Transport and Art in 1996.
