Steinfelden (municipality of Pettenbach)

Steinfelden is a village in the market town of Pettenbach in Upper Austria with 128 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).

The place is located in the extreme southwest of the municipality on the alluvial cone of the Steinbach , which flows into the Alm , a formerly important point in terms of traffic geography. The place is in the immediate vicinity of Viechtwang and Scharnstein , but some buildings are in the municipality of Steinbach am Ziehberg , which extends from here to the east into the valley of the Steinbach. 6 houses in Steinfelden were first mentioned at the end of the 10th century in the land register of the Kremsmünster manor.
