Falkenhagen stone grave

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The stone grave of Falkenhagen was a megalithic burial site from the Neolithic Age near Falkenhagen (Mark) in the district of Märkisch-Oderland ( Brandenburg ). No further information is available about the grave itself, which was probably destroyed in the 19th century. It is therefore unclear whether it was a large stone grave or a smaller stone box . Around 1867 two flint tools were salvaged from the facility . The first is a ground chisel with a rectangular cross-section. It is 14 cm long, 2 cm wide and 1.2 cm high. The chisel can be assigned to the sphere amphora culture and is now in the collection of the Märkisches Museum in Berlin . The second item was a hatchet, for which no precise description is available. It came into the possession of the pastor of Falkenhagen and is lost today.
