Steinholzstrasse 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 is the name entered in the Quedlinburg Monument Register for a listed street in Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The street is northwest of the historic Quedlinburg old town. The Steinholzstrasse joins the Rosa-Luxemburg-Strasse coming from the east onto the Stauffenbergplatz, which is designed as a decorative square.

Plant and history

The streets were built in the course of a north-west expansion of the city around 1900. Two- and three-story apartment buildings were built as perimeter blocks. Architecturally, there are elements of historicism and art nouveau . There are corner bay windows, loggias, half-timbered and ornamental gables.

In front of the houses are narrow front gardens . The street itself is still originally paved. Originally, after the naming of the monument area, the objects Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 2–5, 8–11 and Stauffenbergplatz 1–3 also belonged to the listed area.

The monument area includes the buildings Steinholzstrasse 4 , 5 , which are also listed as individual monuments, and the restaurant Zur Quelle .
