The patrician and noble family of those von Steinkeller is documented in the principality of Breslau .

In the shield there is an oblique beam in which there are five stone cellar vaults. This coat of arms was found on a seal of the Lorenz Steinkeller in Breslau in 1435.

history

The (von) Steinkeller were already wealthy in Schollwitz near Bolkenhain in 1404 . They became extinct in the male line in the 16th century.

Name bearer

  • Kunze Steinkeller was Chancellor of the Principality of Breslau between 1423 and 1425
  • Georg Steinkeller , citizen and councilor in Breslau. In 1460 he was awarded the supreme court over Gut Neudorf. In 1472 he was summoned to the council because he was accused of having made a screw and a stamp with which he was said to have produced false guilders .
  • George von Steinkeller was the owner of Wilxen near Trebnitz in the 16th century .
