Steinkirchen (also Steinkirchen an der Ilm ), until 1974 the seat of the independent municipality of the same name, is a parish village and part of the municipality of Reichertshausen in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm .
history
In 1818, with the Bavarian municipal edict, Steinkirchen also became the seat of a rural community to which, in addition to Steinkirchen an der Ilm, the towns of Frechmühle and Lampertshausen also belonged. Most of the territory of the dissolved community came to Reichertshausen on April 1, 1975.
Attractions
The Catholic parish church of St. Anna is a plastered hall church with pilaster strips, a retracted polygonal choir and a western, upwardly tapering facade tower with a pointed helmet, a nave with an open roof and a choir with groin vaults, Romanizing and Gothicizing since the redesign in 1856/57. Steinkirchen is its own parish.
