The stone box of Leather Tor (also called Leather Tor South) is located in a ring or gate cairn ( English Platform Cairn Circle ) with a diameter of about 5.0 m on the southern slopes of the Leather Tor , between the Devonport Leat and a creek Country lane north of Sheepstor near Burrator Reservoir, built in 1898, at Tavistock in Devon , England .
Three curb stones have been preserved from the stone box ; the fourth and the capstone are missing. The large curbs of the cairn are almost complete.
