Location and find history

The stone circle is located northeast above Ringelai in the “Weberholz” forest in the “Freudenhain” parcel . It lies there on a plateau, the edges of which are marked by natural rocks. Until the 1950s, the area was not yet forested. The stone circle can be reached via a footpath that leads off the mountain road. The stone circle was discovered around the year 2000. The Grafenau monolith is 3.5 km to the northwest ; to the west or northwest of Neidberg lies the Neidberg monolith .

description

According to various statements, the stone circle consists of seven or nine or ten stones that enclose a plate. The stone has a diameter of about 4 m. There is another stone 3 m away, which may also belong to the ring.

Say

No legends are known about the stone circle itself, but healing powers are ascribed to the rocks in its vicinity.
