Stone etching

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The stone etching is a lithographic method in which the drawing is scratched with a needle into the stone and then deep-etched short. The hairline lines are more dark gray than deep black in the print and are raised on the paper.

The painter and graphic artist Rudolf Schulte im Hofe (1865–1928) is considered to be the inventor of the process .
