Bringuerault stone row

The Bringuerault stone row ( French Alignement de menhirs de Bringuerault ) is a row of three menhirs southeast of Hédé-Bazouges (formerly Bazouges-sous-Hédé) in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in Brittany in France .

The alignment used to consist of five menhirs made of dolerite . Stones no. 4 and 5, which were a few meters west of no. 1, have disappeared today.

  • Menhir 1 is pyramidal, about 3.2 m high and 1.5 m wide and 0.9 m thick at the base.
  • Menhir 2 is polyhedral, about 2.17 m high 1.5 m wide and 1.0 m thick and has a rounded tip.
  • Menhir 3 is polyhedral, about 2.0 m high, 1.45 m wide and 0.9 m thick. A V is engraved on the top.

The distance between No. 1 and 2 is about 8.4 m and between No. 2 and 3 about 90.4 m. Several stones, the height of which varies between 0.2 m and 0.8 m, lie between menhirs No. 2 and 3.

The row of stones has been a listed building since 1971.
