Articulated adjustable foot for use in mechanical engineering

Adjustable feet or plates ensure that constructions such as B. of furniture or systems in mechanical engineering . They usually consist of a threaded spindle made of metal and a plate-shaped foot made of plastic or metal. With the help of the thread, the height of the adjustable foot can be adjusted; This means that the structure above can be leveled and adapted to the height differences of the subsurface. Often the spindle is supported by a ball joint in the foot plate. In this way, the foot plate can be placed at an angle and thus compensate for unevenness (lack of parallelism) in the ground. Such adjustable feet are also called articulated feet . Sometimes the foot plate has holes with which the leveling foot can be attached to the floor (e.g. with screws and dowels ). A shock absorbing adjustable feet contain the vibration s damping an elastic member, for example of rubber .
