The Stenhouse Peak is a 614 m high mountain on the north coast of South Georgia . On the Thatcher Peninsula, it rises 1.5 km west of Maiviken Bay .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped and named it between 1925 and 1926. It is named after Joseph Russell Stenhouse (1887-1941), first officer and later captain of the Aurora in the Endurance Expedition (1914-1917) and captain of the Discovery in the Discovery Investigations between 1925 and 1927.
