Stephan Faust

Stephan Faust (* in the 20th century ) is a German classical archaeologist .

Life

From 1999 he studied classical archeology as well as Greek and Latin philology in Münster , at Lincoln College in Oxford and in Munich . He received his MA from the University of Munich in 2005 and his doctorate in 2009. In 2009/10 he was a substitute research assistant at the University of Tübingen, and in 2010 he became a research assistant at the University of Kiel . From 2010 to 2016 he was junior professor at the University of Hamburg . In 2014/15 he was a scholar at the Faculty of Classics at the University of Oxford , and in 2017 he was a Departmental Lecturer in Roman Art and Archeology at the Classics Faculty at the University of Oxford. In 2018 he became a Lecturer in Classics (Roman Art) at the Department for Classics at University College Cork . Since 2019 he has succeeded Stefan Lehmann as curator and scientific director of the Archaeological Museum of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg .
