Stephan Pinkert

Stephan Pinkert (born June 14, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German civil servant , sociologist and author .

Professional background

Pinkert attended the University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice from 1984 to 1987 with a degree in administration. From 1988 to 2001 he was a senior civil servant in the service of the city of Braunschweig , most recently as deputy administrative director of the city health department. During this time, from 1992 to 1999, he completed a part-time course in political science, sociology and law at the FernUniversität Hagen with a Master's degree (MA). From 2001 to 2006 Pinkert was press spokesman and head of the press office of the city of Wolfenbüttel . In 2007 he moved to the Department for Organization and Public Relations at the Federal Office for Radiation Protection in Salzgitter . In 2013 he published his first crime novel with Feine Herren , which was followed by Velvet Red Thirst for Vengeance in 2016 . Since 2010 he has been a managing board member of the Wolfenbütteler Heimatstiftung, which is involved in child and youth welfare .

Pinkert has made a name for himself as a wine author with his book Weinmilieus, a small sociology of wine drinking based on his final thesis. The book has so far reached the third edition. Pinkert also operates the electronic wine information letter wein-post.de on the Internet .
