Stephan Schorn

Stephan Schorn (born September 19, 1975 in Stadtlohn ) is a German entomologist (focus on coleopterology , especially Scarabaeoidea ), specialist book author (monographs on leeches , fire salamanders and representatives of ghosts and catching horrors .) He acquired his knowledge self-taught .

Life

After his school days, Schorn trained as a taxidermist and confectioner and worked for a dragee and praline factory for 8 years. During this time he lived with hundreds of animal roommates (various reptiles, amphibians, insects and arachnids) in Stadtlohn. In Münster he completed several internships with veterinarians and in specialist terrarium stores, where he also completed his retraining as a retail salesman. Professionally as the head of the terrarium hobby, Schorn is privately involved in the keeping and reproduction of numerous reptiles, arachnids and various insects. He successfully completed a two-day seminar "Terraristics" including an examination according to Section 11 of the Animal Welfare Act.

As a poison animal and reptile expert, S. Schorn is called in by the police and fire brigade if such alleged or actual poisonous animals are found (e.g. in the event of apartment liquidations, confiscations, etc.). S. Schorn is often asked for support by therapists in the treatment of arachnophobics.
