Stephan Schriber (born before 1440; † after 1495) was a calligraphy writer and illuminator who was active in Urach from 1463 at the latest, and who is best known for a sample book that he began around 1470.

Life

Stephan Schriber worked in the Württemberg residence city of Urach from 1463 at the latest, where he almost exclusively carried out work for Count Eberhard im Bart von Württemberg. For the wedding celebrations in Urach in 1474, he carried out various calligraphic decorations that were still preserved, for example in the Golden Room.
