from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stephanie Witt-Loers (* 1964 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy, a grief counselor and a German specialist author specializing in “grief counseling for children and adolescents”.

Life

After studying philosophy, political science and Romance studies, she worked as an event manager in her own company. In 2005 she qualified as a volunteer hospice worker at the Vinzenz-Pallotti-Hospital in the Bockenberg district of Bergisch Gladbach. There she has been volunteering in death and grief counseling since 2006. After training in child grief counseling, in 2008 she led child grief groups at the Thalita child mourning center at the Balthasar children's and youth hospice in Olpe . From 2008 she qualified in grief counseling at the Mourning Institute in Germany with Chris Paul and works in her own practice in grief counseling and as a grief counselor for outpatient grief therapy on behalf of various youth welfare offices and children's homes as well as nationwide and in Austria as a training officer and lecturer. She published several specialist books and numerous specialist articles.

Witt-Loers integrates the levels of conversation, action, ritual and creative experience in her educational work. In its conceptual background, it refers, among other things, to a model of funeral tasks, similar to James William Worden.
