Martin Textor

Martin R. Textor (born February 27, 1954 in Paderborn ) is a German author , publicist and educator .

Career

Martin Textor studied pedagogy and psychology at the University of Würzburg , counseling and guidance at the State University of New York , pedagogy and sociology at the University of Würzburg and social work at the University of Cape Town . After completing his main diploma, he continued his studies at the University of Würzburg, where he received his doctorate in education in 1984.

From 1986 to 2006 he worked as a research assistant at the State Institute for Early Education . He initially worked in the family research department. Since it was relocated to the University of Bamberg, it was assigned to Department II (early childhood education).

In November 2006, Martin Textor and his wife Ingeborg Becker-Textor founded the non-university Institute for Education and Future Research (IPZF) in Würzburg. He managed it together with her until the end of 2018. He has been a pensioner since January 1, 2019.

Services

From 1992 to 1993, Martin Textor was seconded to the Bavarian State Ministry for Family to take over the editing of the family report of the Bavarian State Government . From 1995 to 2006 he was editor of the IFP information service Education, Upbringing, Care .

Since August 2000, Textor has been operating a website for pre-school education, day-care centers and educators: Kindergarten Pedagogy - Online Manual (the title was changed to " Das Kita-Handbuch" in mid-2015 , co-edited by Antje Bostelmann since the end of 2017 ). It now includes almost 1,400 specialist articles and more than 1,000 references to relevant media. Textor is the author of the websites Kindertagesbetreuung.de , Zukunftsentwicklungen.de , Zukunftsorientierte-Pädagogik.de and Elternarbeit.info . He is also the first editor of an online manual on Book VIII of the Social Code with around 130 legal and socio-educational specialist articles as well as many references to statements and working aids from youth welfare associations. Textor has published 45 specialist books as author or co-editor, more than 470 articles in specialist journals, scientific journals and (hand) books (excluding gray literature), around 300 specialist articles on the Internet and around 620 reviews.
