Stephen Adams (born September 28, 1984 in Tema ) is a Ghanaian soccer goalkeeper . He is currently under contract with the Aduana Stars .

Career

society

Adams started playing soccer with the Great Ambassadors association in 1998 . In 2004 or 2005 he moved to Real Sportive Tema , but where he could not prevail against Laud Quartey . Only after he moved to the Aduana Stars in 2009 did he make his breakthrough. With strong performances, he contributed to the fact that the recently promoted club was able to win the Ghanaian championship in 2010. The team had to accept only ten goals in 30 games. Adams was named the season's best goalkeeper.

In 2014, there was speculation in the media about a move to Hearts of Oak Accra . Adams said he wanted to keep playing for Aduana. The national team's goalkeeping coach suggested he move abroad.

National team

In the run-up to the 2010 World Cup , Adams was appointed to Ghana's provisional squad. Ultimately, however, Daniel Adjei and Stephen Ahorlu drove to South Africa as representatives of Richard Kingson . At the 2011 Nations Cup, Adams was in the Ghanaian squad and was used. The team was eliminated in the preliminary round after three defeats.

In 2014 Adams again took part in the Nations Cup with Ghana and showed a very strong performance. Ghana came in second. Neither team succeeded in overcoming Adams from the regular game, all six goals conceded came from penalties.

Then Adams was coach James Kwesi Appiah in the cadre of senior national appeal, in which he at the 2014 World Cup participates.
