The Aduana Stars Football Club , or Aduana Stars for short , is a football club from the Ghanaian city of Dormaa Ahenkro . The team surprisingly won the Ghanaian championship in 2010 as a newcomer and set a new record as the most efficient championship team in the world.

history

The club rose to the 2009/10 season in the Ghana Premier League and were instant champions. With only 19 goals in 30 games, the Aduana Stars hold the world record for the most efficient championship team in football .

After this surprise success, the table went downhill continuously. The championship was followed by a solid 5th place in 2010/11 and a decent 6th place in the following season. While the 2012/13 season ended satisfactorily with 7th place, the Aduana Stars are still fighting for relegation this season.

Because of the lack of success, successful coach Herbert Addo had to leave the club and the Serbian Miroslav Bogdanovic was hired to get the club back on track. But even under Bogdanovic the tide did not turn and so he was given a leave of absence at the beginning of April. Now the previous assistant coach Kwabena Ameyaw bears sole responsibility to save the club from relegation.

After more years in midfield of the league, the club celebrated its second championship in 2017.
