Stephen Adler (journalist)

Stephen J. Adler (* 1955 ) is an American journalist . Since 2011 he has been editor-in-chief of Reuters and vice-president of news for the Thomson Reuters group , and since 2012 also president of Reuters.

Stephen Adler only joined Thomson Reuters in 2010 and became Vice President and Chief News Officer. Adler was previously the editor-in-chief of BusinessWeek . During his five-year tenure, the magazine and website won more than 100 major journalism awards. Prior to that, he spent 16 years with the Wall Street Journal . As an investigative journalist , he led a team there that won a total of three Pulitzer Awards between 1995 and 1999 . He was previously the editor of The American Lawyer . He began his career as a reporter at local newspapers in Florida .

He is married to the author Lisa Grunwald and has contributed to two anthologies with her .
