Stephen D. Black

Stephen Dietrich Schwarz (born November 8, 1932 ) is an Austrian philosopher .

Life

He studied philosophy at Fordham University with Dietrich von Hildebrand and Balduin Schwarz , his father. He received a BA and MA from Fordham and a Ph. D. ( Reid and the justification of perception ) from Harvard in 1966 . He is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Rhode Island , where he began teaching in 1963.
