Stephen Gallagher (born July 9, 1980 in County Armagh ) is an Irish cyclist .
Career
Stephen Gallagher began his international career in 2003 with the British team Endurasport.com-Principia . After a year he moved to the Belgian cycling team Flanders and was third in the Irish championship in the individual time trial . In the 2006 season he finished third for the Giant Asia Racing Team again in the Tour of Thailand and was second in the Tour de Taiwan , but subsequently first due to the doping of Irishman Kirk O'Bee . Gallagher has been driving for the Sean Kelly team since 2007 . In his first year for the team, he won the third stage of the Tour of Ulster . In 2008 he became the overall winner of the FBD Insurance Rás .
