Stephen Jelley

Stephen Jelley (born May 12, 1982 in Leicester ) is a British racing driver .

Career

Jelley's motorsport career began in the British Formula Ford BRDC in 2000 and was also active in this series the following year. In 2002 he switched to the British Formula Ford Junior. In 2003 Jelley won the runner-up title in this series. Jelley then switched to the B-Class of British Formula 3 and again won a runner-up title. A year later Jelley switched to the A-class of British Formula 3 and was 12th in the overall standings for Menu F3 Motorsport. Jelley also took part in two races in the Formula 3 Euro Series . 2006 Jelley denied his second season in the British Formula 3 and improved for Raikkonen Robertson Racing starting on the seventh place overall. In 2007 Jelley started again for Raikkonen Robertson Racing in British Formula 3 and finished third in the overall standings with two wins.

In 2008 Jelley started for ART Grand Prix in the first season of the GP2 Asia series . While his teammate Romain Grosjean won the series, Jelley never managed to get a point in any race. Then Jelley moved to the BTCC , in which he finished 15th in the overall standings at the end of the season.
