Steven John Baker MP (born June 6, 1971 in St Austell ) is a British politician . He belongs to the Conservative Party and is a supporter of Brexit .

Since 2010 he has represented the Wycombe constituency in the House of Commons .

Career

Baker studied aerospace engineering at the University of Southampton and St Cross College . He later joined the Royal Air Force .

After being presented as a Conservative candidate in Wycombe in October 2009, he won the seat in the 2010 British general election with 48.6% of the vote.

Political positions

Baker is considered a member of the right wing of the Conservative Party and is a member of the socially conservative Cornerstone Group . He is in favor of the UK leaving the EU .

Baker rejects same-sex marriage .
