Steve Cruz (boxer)
Steve Cruz (* 2. November 1963 in Fort Worth , USA ) is a retired American boxer in the featherweight .

At the end of October 1981 he successfully made his professional debut with a knockout victory in round 1 against Pascual Aranda. In June 1986 he became World Champion of the WBA Association when he defeated Barry McGuigan by unanimous decision. However, he lost the title in his first title defense in March of the following year to Antonio Esperragozza . In 1993 he ended his career.
