Steven Carl Raible (born June 2, 1954 in Louisville ) is an American presenter , author and former American football player . He played on the position of wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL).

Football career

He first played football at Trinity High School, where he was inducted into the local hall of fame in 1993, and then went to the Georgia Institute of Technology , where he played college football . After graduating there, he went to the NFL Draft in 1976 , where he was selected by the Seattle Seahawks as the 31st player of the second round (59th overall). There he played six seasons until 1981 and only missed one game.

Moderator career

After finishing his playing career, Raible became a sports reporter for the local channel KIRO-TV and shared the job as co-presenter for the news. Since 2004 he has been a radio commentator for the Seahawks games (the "voice of the Seahawks") for the radio station KIRO 7, where he is best known for his catchwords "Are you kidding me ?!" and "Holy catfish!" . Raible also moderates TV broadcasts of speedboat races and air shows. In early 2020, he announced his retirement from Kiro 7 but remains a commentator on the Seahawks games.

He has received five Northwest Emmy Awards in his career as a news presenter , including two for Best Presenter.
