Steve Robinson (boxer)

Steve Robinson (* 13. December 1966 in Cardiff , Wales ) is a former British boxer in the featherweight .

Professional career

Robinson began his professional career in 1989; he won his first two fights. He lost his third fight against his compatriot Nicky Lucas on points. On April 17, 1993 he boxed against John Davison for the WBO world title and won unanimously on points. Overall, Robinson defended this belt seven times in a row before losing it to Naseem Hamed by TKo in the 8th round in late September 1995 .

In 2002 Robinson ended his career.
