Steve Williams (born November 13, 1953 ) is an American sprinter who was active in the 1970s. Between 1972 and 1976 he ran the 100 m five times in 9.9 seconds.

In the 1976 Olympics, he was one of the favorites for the Olympic 100-meter run. In the US qualifying competitions for participation in the Olympic Games, however, he injured himself badly on both thighs and had to give up.

At the Athletics World Cup in Düsseldorf in 1977 , the US team set a world record with a total of 38.03 in the 4 x 100 meter relay with Bill Collins , Steve Riddick , Cliff Wiley and Steve Williams. Williams also won the 100-meter run.
