Steven Kilston

Steven Kilston (* 1944 ) is an American astronomer .

Kilston received his Bachelor of Arts in astronomy from Harvard University in 1965 and his PhD in the same subject from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1973.

In 1966 he discovered comet C / 1966 P1 , which got his name.

He later worked as a space systems engineer at Hughes Aircraft and the Lockheed Palo Alto Research Laboratories. At the same time he was the chief developer of the IKONOS system. He currently works for Ball Aerospace.
