Steven Mead with euphonium
Steven Mead (* 1962 in Bournemouth ) is a British euphonium player .
He lives in Central England with his wife and two children . In 1982 he graduated from the University of Bristol . He also attended the main conservatories in Tokyo , Moscow , Brussels , Valencia and Oslo .
His career began with two television appearances. Since then he has had various successes, such as winning the " BBC Best of Brass " competition twice in 1983 and 1985 and the " Euphonium Player of the Year Award " in 1983 and 1986. In 1991 he founded the British Tuba Quartet with two tubas and two euphonies.
