Steven Rüegg (born January 25, 1990 ) is a Swiss football player .
Career
The midfielder made his first professional appearances in the 2008/09 season in the second highest division at FC Thun , when he played in three league games. He made his debut on April 9, 2009 in the home game against FC Wohlen , when he came on for Pietro Di Nardo in the 74th minute . The Thun junior from Dürrenast was under contract in the preliminary round of the 2009/10 season with the BSC Young Boys (YB) U21 in the third highest division, the 1st division , and played some games for the U21 des as part of the partnership with YB FC Thun in the 2nd interregional league .
For the 2010/11 season, Steven Rüegg is returning to his home club FC Thun in the Bernese Oberland , where he signed a contract until June 2012. He will join the extended first team squad of coach Murat Yakin . The club won the Challenge League in the 2009/10 season and was promoted to the Axpo Super League . Rüegg will thus compete in the highest league of a country for the first time.
