Stewart Martin Wood, Baron Wood of Anfield (* 25. March 1968 ) is a British politician of the Labor Party , which since 2011 member of the House of Lords is.

Life

After schooling completed Wood studying political science and worked as after graduation itself Fellow and Tutor of Political Science at Magdalen College of the University of Oxford operates.

In 2010 he headed the party's internal election of Ed Miliband for the successful election of the chairman of the Labor Party on 25 September 2010. In the following years he was Strategic Adviser Miliband in his capacity as leader of the opposition ( Leader of the Opposition ) in the House of Commons .

15 January 2011 Wood was a Letters Patent as a life peer with the title Baron Wood of Anfield , of Tonbridge in the County of Kent in the peerage collected and is since January 18, 2011 after its introduction ( Introduction ) member of the House of Lords . As such, he was appointed to the Labor Party's shadow cabinet by Ed Miliband , where he assumed the post of "shadow minister" without portfolio and spokesman for the opposition for the Cabinet Office .
