Lists on the subject

The Steyr Scout is a repeating rifle from the Austrian company Steyr Mannlicher , which was designed by Jeff Cooper in 1983 . It uses the .308 Winchester caliber ( 7.62 × 51 mm NATO in the military version), but is also available in the .223 Rem., .243 Win., 7mm-08 Rem. available and is considered a handy and lightweight all-round weapon that was designed for distances of up to 400 meters. The length of the weapon is about 98 cm; the weight of the unloaded rifle with telescopic sight is just under 3 kg lower than that of comparable models.

When folded, the bipod becomes a handle on the barrel and, like the FN FAL , is flush with the barrel.
