Lists on the subject

The Steyr Elite is the military version of the Steyr-Mannlicher Scout repeating rifle from the Austrian company Steyr Mannlicher .

Technical specifications

  • Available in calibers .223 Rem. , .308 Win. and 7-mm-08 Rem. on demand.
  • A total length of 1,070 mm or 1,090 mm (a few cm larger than the Scout).
  • The barrel length is 570 mm.
  • Weight 4.25 kg, without magazine in .308 Win caliber.
  • 2 pieces of 5-round standard magazines.

execution

For the best possible adaptation of the rest, both the height of the cheek piece and the butt plate can be adjusted to the individual needs of the shooter. These extras explain the weight of about 4.4 kg or 4.25 kg, which is about 1 kg more than the Scout.

As with the Scout, the front plastic butt plates (black in all versions) can be folded out and can therefore be used as a bipod.

The Steyr Elite does not have its own sights, but the shaft has a continuous Picatinny rail on the top .

magazine

If necessary, the 5-round standard magazine can be replaced with a 10-round magazine by attaching an extension adapter (known as the "high-capacity kit"). The butt stock can also hold a reserve magazine with 5 or 10 rounds. The shooter can thus carry up to 20 rounds on the weapon.
