Stick Figure is an American reggae and dub band that was formed in 2006. She is under contract with Ruffwood Records, the label of the band's founder Scott Woodruff.

history

Stick Figure was founded in 2006 as a one-man band by Scott Woodruff . Woodruff is from Duxbury and began making his own recordings in high school . Little by little, other band members joined, but they only accompany live concerts. Behind the studio productions is only frontman Woodruff as composer, musician and producer. For the album World on Fire he received support from bandmate Johnny Cosmic in mixing and mastering . From 2006 to 2019, Woodruff released eight albums on Ruffwood Records. The 2015 album Set in Stone peaked at number 101 on the Billboard 200 . In January 2020, the album World on Fire was voted Reggae Album of the Year 2019 by the readers of Reggaeville magazine.

Stick Figure is characterized by the constant presence of Woodruff's dog Cocoa, an Australian Shepherd . He accompanies the band on all tours and even on stage. Woodruff dedicates the song Cocoa de Rock to him on the album World on Fire , which is also a cover version of Alpha Blondy's song Cocody Rock .

Keyboarder Kevin Bong pursues a solo career in addition to his activities as a keyboardist.
