Stickle Ridge ( English for rebellious ridge ) is a mountain ridge up to 720 m high on the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It looms west of Saint Martha Cove .
Geologists from the British Antarctic Survey examined it between 1985 and 1985. The volcanic rock, which is prickly due to weathering , gave the ridge its name.
