The Stiegerschlössl is located in the municipality of Maishofen in the Zell am See district in the state of Salzburg (Kammererstraße 4) and is a listed building .

history

The name of the residence goes back to the Stieger family, who were the owners between 1700 and 1818. In 1839 the married couple Peter and Elisabeth Neumayer rebuilt the house; an inscription on the bay window of the house attests to this (18 PEN 39). The facade design with fan-like palmettes and the curved stucco gables above the windows dates from this time . Gothic stone walls are partially recognizable. Then the house came to the family of the farmer Dick. Fridolin Engls bought the house from this in 1977. Noble owners are not proven.

Stiegerschlössl today

The Stiegerschlössl is a three-storey building with a Gothic core and two additional attic storeys. It is covered with a hipped roof, which is hipped on both sides. The corners are lifted out by cleaning pilasters. Bay windows and window bars date from 1839. The service wing with its mighty gable roof that once belonged to it was demolished in 1973 when the road was widened.

Today an inn is operated in the building.
