The single-nave baroque pilgrimage church with a protruding north tower was built in 1730/31. The high altar, side altars and pulpit all date from shortly after the construction.

The first documented owner of the property is Polycarp Hunt around 1466. The castle was built by Dietrich Khuen von Belasy between 1610 and 1614, the castle chapel was added in 1617. In 1711 the property and the chapel burned down and after it was bought by the Diocese of Chiemsee in 1722, it was rebuilt in its present form. After secularization , Josef Neumayer acquired the property in 1812, which is still owned by his descendants today.

The Schneiderhäusl is a pure log building from the 16th and 17th centuries. The balcony on the upper floor leads over all sides of the house.
