Accommodation had to be created for the many pilgrim priests. In the early days they were often housed in the St. Martin rectory. But from there it's a long way to Kirchental. That is why the Regenshaus was built between 1691 and 1694. From the beginning, the stately building was not only intended as accommodation for the pastors at the pilgrimage church, but should also be attached to the priest's house in Salzburg and also serve as a retirement home for retired priests and as an educational facility.

Instead of the well house you can currently only see a foundation covered with a tarpaulin (see picture). The building was about to collapse, which is why it had to be demolished in early October 2011. The realignment will probably take place in the first half of 2012. [outdated]

A first church should have been around around 1000. But what it looked like can no longer be explored.

The current church was built in 1480. In 1675 it was expanded. The tower used to be on the south side. In 1647 it was so dilapidated that it had to be held together with iron. In 1699, however, he could no longer be saved. It was removed and rebuilt on the west side above the church portal. The four cast bronze bells were purchased in 1955.

The first data on the Grubhof can be found in Berchtesgaden Abbey in 1325. The Gruber family sat on the estate from which it takes its name. It was a royal fiefdom. In 1540 the aristocratic Ritz family from Saalfelden came to the residence, which became a noble residence. In 1712 this passed to the Baron von Motzl family through marriage. This remained until 1816 and other owners followed. In 1830 the property was bought by the Bavarian Forestry Office. In 1868 it passed to the farmer Josef Faistauer and from him the industrialist Hermann Schmidtmann bought it in 1890.
