The old Almdorf chapel was built in the 16th century as a pledge of danger from water. Around 1700 cracks occurred in the vault and the chapel threatened to collapse. That is why the Lettl farmer Eva Schwaiger built a new, much larger one in 1715 with the help of the neighbors. In 1912, lightning struck the tower and a new one had to be built. In a niche of the baroque altar stands a Madonna and Child. Behind it is a votive picture to commemorate the pilgrimage disaster at Königssee in 1688.

The parish church stands on a knoll in the center of the village. After a redesign and expansion in the 19th century, the large three-aisled building is characterized by the neo-Romanesque style. The Gothic crypt under the choir has been preserved from the previous building. The core of the five-storey west tower is still Gothic. The interior of the 19th century was largely replaced by modern works during the redesign between 1959 and 1969.

The cemetery that exists today was only created in 1919 after the space around the church became much too small. A representational chapel was built in its center. Back then, this area was the periphery of the market.
