The history of Neukirchen's church goes back to the 14th century. At the end of the 19th century, a fresco came to light on the north wall, which is supposed to represent a knight with a sword who fends off evil - it is dated to 1380. There is a Madonna statue from the period before 1500. The grave slab of the knight Georg von Neukirchen has been preserved, it bears the year of death 1547.

The Samerhof belonged to Christoph Grym from Neukirchen. He became a priest and worked as a pastor in Zell am See from 1513 to 1542. Before his death, he made an anniversary foundation for the Zell church and designated the Samerhof for it. Therefore, the Samerhof had to pay an annual fee in cash, 4 pounds of flax and 40 eggs to Zell.

In the past, when the Samerei over the Tauern and into the Zillertal was still in full swing, the Samerhof often had to accommodate guests. The pack horses were housed and fed in the samerstall.

The origin of Hohenneukirchen Castle goes back to a Herwich von Neukirchen in 1126. After that, the following are mentioned in a document: Penno and Meginhart 1135, Wolfprecht 1150, Hartmann and Egilolf 1180 and finally Hademar von Neukirchen 1190. The lords of Neukirchen were initially only servants of the Counts of Mittersill. Later, however, they became ministerials to the archbishop and the lords of Neukirchen then determined the fate of this region for about 400 years. In 1547 the last of them, Georg der Neukircher, died.

In 1558, the heirs sold the entire property to Erasmus and Christoph von Khuenburg. This family ruled for another 300 years and in 1599 also acquired the Hieburg .
From 1874 the castle changed hands several times before the market town of Neukirchen acquired the building in 1898 and used it initially as a retirement home, later as a hospital, which was looked after by Hallein sisters and then used again as a retirement home. Today it houses the community archive.

The Sigg Chapel (also Siggenkapelle) stands on the slope a little south of the Siggen inn in the Sulzau district of the Neukirchen community. It is a simple wooden building with a gable roof, without the otherwise typical bell tower. The entrance faces north and very little light penetrates into the interior through very small windows. At the chapel there are some very old and hardly legible panels.
